TJ is a 10 yr+ German Shorthaired Pointer who recently was re-rescued. Adopted out to a local family by GSP Rescue of California some nine years ago, she recently turned up in a shelter in Texas. Fortunately TJ had been microchipped prior to her adoption, allowing the shelter to notify Jan Flaherty. With help from the GSP Rescue of Texas, TJ was safely pulled from the shelter and temporarily fostered. When a search failed to find her original adopters, arrangements were made to get her back to San Diego where she arrived in late June. The day after she arrived, TJ bloated—a life threatening condition where the stomach twists. She was rushed to College Pet Clinic where Dr Kang performed a successful surgery and was able to "untwist" her stomach.

Presently, TJ is recovering nicely and will be available for adoption very soon. Her foster family has found that she is very easy to care for and gets along well with other dogs. She might even do well around cats.

This special fundraiser has been organized to help pay for TJ's surgery, as well as a number of other Vet bills that GSP Rescue has recently incurred. Unlike previous GSP Rescue fundraisers that have been held on Fundable, once the goal has been reached for TJ, anyone who has pledged will receive a signed copy of Tales of a Beverly Hills Bitch by D. Dylan.

D. Dylan, aka Dog Dylan, is the pen name used by Maria Belknap who wrote this first-person tale of her dog, a German-Shorthaired Pointer rescue named Dylan. Tales of a Beverly Hills Bitch is Dylan's dog’s eye view of life in Beverly Hills and a book Hound International calls "a pawsitively delightful rags-to-riches story." Beverly Hills Bitch is a must-read for all dog lovers.

We at GSP Rescue are both honored and grateful to Maria Belknap for her generous offer to assist us in helping raise the funds for TJ’s Vet Bill. As with all collections on Fundable, the goal must be met before the funds can be released. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact GSP Rescue of Southern California.
