Roxy is a beautiful senior girl who wound up at a shelter along with another dog. Her original owner, who had been relocated into an assisted living facility, had left both dogs in the care of his family. When the owner’s family came to claim the dogs from the shelter, they took the other dog home but left Roxy behind.
We see this happen far too often when dogs like Roxy are considered “too old” and they get tossed out like wrapping paper on Christmas Day. On the other hand, all of us at the rescue consider Roxy as a treasure, and are working very hard to find her a forever home where someone will appreciate what a special gift she is.
Roxy’s Christmas wish is to find a forever home that will provide her with love, a soft warm bed, a daily walk and someone that will take a little time to spend training her. She’s a smart dog that needs to be kept busy and will show you that you can teach a dog any age a new trick!
If you are interested in meeting Roxy and making her a part of your family, please complete an application.
Please remember Roxy and the German Shorthaired Pointers and other dogs we are caring for, until we can find their forever homes. Please consider supporting our efforts by making a tax deductible donation to our all volunteer non-profit organization.
Thank you and Happy Holidays from all of us at the California GSP Rescue.
