Earlier this week, California GSP Rescue was notified about a German Shorthaired Pointer that had been left in a drop box at a local kill shelter. We immediately wonder why anyone would consider this a suitable method for re-homing their dog, and what plans need to be made to save the GSP.
Fortunately, the shelter was in the vicinity of two dedicated volunteers, John and Teri, that were able to pull and transport Cami to safety. Being an all volunteer organization, we couldn’t function, and GSPs like Cami would be kept the normal waiting period in hopes of being adopted.
A big thanks to Volunteers John & Teri for helping Cami get one step closer to her forever home! Check back for more information on Cami – rumor has it that she is a sweetheart!
