Buddy Boy

Buddy Boy is a stunning white and liver active 3 year old male German Shorthaired Pointer. Buddy Boy came to us when his owner was not able to give him the time, training and exercise he needs. Unfortunately, the result of not getting enough exercise and stimulation, he quickly got bored, and started jumping the fence.

Buddy Boy is a sweet and lovable guy who is all velcro, and he loves the company of people. He lived with young children and was very good with them. He also does well with other dogs.

Being a young GSP, Buddy Boy will need continued training. He had little training in his previous home, but we have been working with him. He does fairly well on a leash, but needs a bit more work on pulling. He is young and active, and will need a home that will be able to devote the time to be sure Buddy Boy gets the daily exercise and stimulation he needs. Keeping him busy will help manage him wanting to go over the fence to find something to do.

The Challenges: 

Can jump a 6 foot fence, and would need to be managed.

Needs plenty of daily exercise, training and stimulation. No days off.

Buddy Boy was previously kept as an outdoor dog, so he will need house training to be able to enjoy the comforts of a home indoors with his family
