Jake is a young German Shorthaired Pointer with an easy, outgoing spirit—the kind of dog who should have found his place in the world long before he was rescued.

At just about a year old, Jake is in that restless, eager stage so familiar to young German Shorthaired Pointers. Movement is his language. With daily runs, structured play, and a bit of training, he’ll grow into the remarkable companion he’s meant to be.

From the moment he arrived, Jake showed us who he really is—an all-play, ready-to-run, sweet-natured dog who needs exercise and direction. He’s already proven himself to be a fantastic running partner and gets along well with other dogs. Some dogs end up in shelters because of their behavior. Jake didn’t. He ended up there because someone didn’t make time for him.
