Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Macy has learned plenty since coming to the Rescue.
She was relinquished to a high-kill shelter by her former owners; we assume because of the many lumps on her body. GSP Rescue arranged to have the lumps removed and Macy was back to being her old self – having fun, fetching, and enjoying the attention of the volunteers. However, Macy just couldn’t get along with the other dogs. Her foster mom, and founder of the rescue, Jan, has been working with her – teaching her a new way.
We are happy to report Macy now lives with a pack of easy-going dogs and accepts them in her “space”. She would be an easy only-dog, but would also be able to show the right owner her new trick: how to live with a pack. Macy is a fun and active senior just waiting for the right home.
Macy is part of our Golden Paw Program. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Macy, please complete an application. Learn more about Macy.
