Patches is a shy older gentleman that came into the rescue after having been hit by a car. A bystander brought him to the rescue, and we were unable to locate his owners, so Patches is staying with us until we can find him his forever home.
Patches is a male English Pointer that we estimate to be about 12 years old. When he came to the rescue in June of this last summer he was extremely shy, reluctant even to be approached and receive treats.
In addition to convalescing and recovering from his injuries, Patches has learned to trust people that he is familiar with, and to seek out kind attention and head scratches. He still has a bit of a limp, but has been recently spotted running after the ball with the other dogs!
He loves to walk around the yard with the other dogs, hang out on the porch and is hoping that special person will come by to take him for a walk and possibly home. Patches is a sweet boy who will make someone a great and loving companion.
Patches is part of our Golden Paw Program. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Patches, please complete an application.
