Splish Splash 2025: 8 Dogs, 8 Stories, and a Whole Lot of Joy
Picture this: sun blazing, water fountains flowing, a few dozen German Shorthaired Pointers dashing around. Eight are available for adoption. That’s Splish Splash - a lively fundraiser by California GSP Rescue, where laughter flows just like the water, showing how much these efforts truly mean.
Now marking its eighth go-round, Splish Splash is way more than a doggie gathering. It's about fresh starts, happy tail wags, plus how tough these pups are when they walk in from outside. Eight GSP’s took center stage this time around - one held back, another full of bounce, each one ready for a real family.
They grabbed the chance without hesitation.
Noel – The Brave Heart
Once super timid, Noel started letting helpers stroke his fur, cradle him close, or stroll nearby without flinching. Seeing him dive into water play was like spotting months of progress packed into a single joyful scene.
Stella – The Social Butterfly
At nearly four, bursting with pep, Stella grabbed each cuddle, dip in the water, or chat like it was gold. Because she loved mixing with strangers, she’d flash her sparky self to anyone nearby.
PinPin – The Pocket-Size Adventurer
A year or so in age, just right for cozy spaces, PinPin won hearts fast thanks to his energetic antics. Sure of himself, warm in nature, yet totally into splashing around - he brought joy without trying.
Steve McQueen – The Gentle Soul
Calm and quiet, Steve McQueen passed the hours begging for tummy scratches while flashing warm grins. When dogs approached, he greeted them gently - his easygoing vibe clear from the start.
Finnick – The Comeback Kid
Finnick, just two, was getting better fast after hurting his leg, surprising folks with how bold yet gentle he stayed. Running around, goofing off, loving every bit of focus - rocking that cast like it meant something real.
Sparkle – The Firecracker
Quick, happy, bursting with energy - Sparkle matched her name perfectly. Zooming past helpers in loops, she’d bounce nonstop while showing folks how German Shorthaired Pointers crave action.
Dakota – The Fetch Champion
Older than most pups there, Dakota still lit things up - nonstop fetching, zero chill. Charming? Super active? Totally loving? Yeah, he stole the show from morning till night.
Spooky – The High-Energy Athlete
By age two, Spooky showed just how much movement a puppy GSP craves. With hours of dashing through water, he eventually settled down for rest.
