Harry is a five year old male German Shorthaired Pointer. He loves to play ball and will retrieve it, bring it back to you, drop it and look up with a smile letting you know he is ready for another round.
Harry is a sweetheart, very affectionate with people and walks great on a leash. He is smart and eager to please which makes him very trainable.
As with all GSP’s, Harry would thrive in a home with an active person or family that will be able to continue his training and be up for a lifetime of love, companionship and plenty of fetch! He needs a secure fence and, although he has done well being home alone in the past, he has recently – after some family changes – started to take issue with being home alone all day. Increased exercise and short sessions of leaving him home alone should get him back to where he was before – able to chill while you are out. Harry generally does well with other dogs, too, and some canine companionship may be helpful.
Harry takes daily thyroid medication which would need to be continued and periodically evaluated, although the medication is only cents per day.
If you have room in your home and your heart for Harry, and have a ball, please complete an adoption application.
