Meet Hazel!

Hazel is a 7 year old beautiful female all liver German Shorthaired Pointer, who came to us from a high kill shelter after she was found as a stray. She waited the required time at the shelter for her owners to claim her, but they never came. We kept her on our radar, and monitored her, and when she was made available, we picked her up, and got her to safety.

Hazel was a bit shy and timid when she first came in to the rescue, but is warming up to the volunteers. She doesn’t appear to have had much training. She will need some work on a leash, as she does pull a little.

She does well in the field with other dogs. She also appears to get along with cats. This girl loves to play, and has plenty of GSP energy!

The perfect home for Hazel would be with someone who will give her plenty of exercise and continued training. A home with older children would be best, as being a bit shy and timid, younger children might make her nervous.
