Greg Williams is our volunteer photographer for the rescue. Greg first learned of California GSP Rescue in early 2000 when his family was in need of a trainer that was knowledgeable and understood German Shorthaired Pointers that could assist with their 1 year old GSP named Sweetie.
Greg began attending the obedience training that was offered on Saturdays. Impressed with the rescue that had been started over ten years earlier by Jan Flaherty, he began helping train the dogs that had been rescued while waiting for their forever homes.
The number of purebred German Shorthaired Pointers that Greg saw rescued by this small organization over the next several months was amazing and motivated him to get involved, and do more to help.
Having been a photographer for many years, he soon began volunteering to help photograph the rescued dogs that needed homes. Since then, Greg has photographed over one thousand rescued dogs as well as their adopters, with each photo telling a story.
Greg spends tireless hours photographing the dogs that come through our door, bringing them to the forefront to help find them forever homes.
Because of Greg’s dedication, devotion, and leadership, we have been able to build a team of volunteers to help continue our plight to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home many GSP’s in need over the past 15 years.
