Slake was found as a stray, and picked up by a good Samaritan who took him to a local shelter.
He was found running in a remote area with a wound on his left front leg. It appears that he could have been hit by a car. He was put on a stray hold at the shelter, awaiting his owners to come claim him, but they never did. After the hold was up, and he became available to the public, still no one was there to take Slake home, so our volunteer Greg went and picked him up and got him to safety.
Slake was examined and his wound treated, and thankfully, he will make a full recovery and will be ready for his forever home soon!
We would like to thank Greg for quickly springing Slake from the shelter, and getting him one step closer to his forever home! Watch our website for more on Slake!
