Axel
Axel is an 11 year old sweet male German Shorthaired Pointer. When we met Axel, he was sitting quietly in a crowded shelter, overlooked day after day. What we found was a sweet, easy dog, who just needed a second chance. Axel doesn’t need long hikes or endless activity. He needs love, short walks, and someone willing to give him the time he deserves.

Sweet demeanor
Easy on the leash and enjoys short walks

The Challenges:
Shortly after his rescue, something unexpected happened—Axel lost mobility, and we feared the worst. A suspected stroke changed everything. And yet… Axel kept going. With time, patience, and care, he’s slowly recovering—and reminding us all what resilience really looks like.
