Brownie

Brownie is a 2 ½ year old incredible and stunning liver roan male German Shorthaired Pointer. A very sweet boy who wants to please his people, and will shower you with love and attention. He will even give you a hug if you tap your chest.

Brownie loves to play with toys, and he loves to chase and fetch tennis balls. He walks well on a leash, and is E-collar trained. He is very smart, and has had some training. He knows the commands “Sit, Shake, Stay, Load up, Kennel, Come, Up, Drop”. He is very treat motivated, making his continued training much easier.

Brownie is house trained, and knows how to use the dog door. He is also crate trained.

The perfect home for Brownie would be with someone who is active and retired or works from home, as he enjoys being around people, and will follow you everywhere! A typical “velcro” dog.

Brownie would be a great companion to accompany you on adventures, long walks or runs, and hikes. At the end of the day when he is all tuckered out, he will just be happy to join you for a nap.

We feel Brownie would do best as an only dog, or possibly a submissive female dog, but it would need to be managed as he does have some resource guarding tendencies. With this in mind, he would need to go to a home with no children. Brownie is a young GSP, and will need a home where he will get plenty of daily exercise, training and stimulation. No days off.

The Challenges:

Does not like Garden hose/ being sprayed

Does not like loud noises. Brownie is also sensitive to fireworks, so this would need to be managed if you have fireworks in your surrounding area to be sure he feels safe and secure and not be left alone.

Has some resource guarding. Should be an only dog or could possibly be in a home with a submissive female. No children.
