Cash

Cash is a 7 year old stunning Burgos Pointer. When we picked him up from the shelter, we thought we knew exactly who he was—a German Shorthaired Pointer or a GSP Mix, about five years old, just another dog needing a second chance. But we were wrong. Cash's story unfolded differently from others. A different breed. A different past. And a personality that made it clear—this dog had been loved before.

From a calm coffee stop, and an easy walk, Cash settled in quickly, showing us what a sweet boy he is, and a calm demeanor. Cash loves being around people and other dogs, and is very sweet and affectionate. He is at that perfect age, and will make someone an amazing companion.

Sweet demeanor

Easy on the leash

Cash still loves exercise and adventure, but unlike a young GSP, he only needs about half as much. A good walk, or a hike, will satisfy his energy needs, and then he will be ready to sit next to you on the couch and watch Netflix

Good riding in a car

Very social and would be a great companion to accompany you to dog friendly establishments

The Challenges:

It is unknown if Cash is house trained - we presume he is not, so he will need to be house trained in a new environment so he can learn the routine

Such a handsome guy!!! He has a very unique look to him and has HUGE paws, but he's such a gentle giant

He knows sit and paw and would do both on command, with or without a treat. He jumped up and stayed in a hug with me for a while. He walks very well on leash, you can tell someone put so much time into him at one point. He is such a cuddler and wanted to be touching someone the entire time. My personal current favorite dog. He's such a cutie pie and loves being loved on. If he isn't hugging you, he's leaning against your legs

So sweet and friendly. Jumps right up to you to say hello. Knows sit 

He responds well to correction. Doesn’t fetch but did pick the ball up when it was left unattended. Went right in the crate and got comfortable. Rode in the car great. Knows “sit” and “down”. Treat motivated
