Daisy Duke
Daisy Duke is a beautiful 4 year old female German Shorthaired Pointer. She is sweet and playful, a joyful spirit and wonderfully well-behaved. She gets along with other dogs, and loves being with people. Daisy Duke is a dog people dream about adopting, who never should have ended up in a shelter.
Daisy Duke needs a home with someone that will appreciate all of her amazing qualities. Someone who will give her the love and attention she deserves, along daily exercise consisting of walks, possibly a run, a hike along with training.

The Good Stuff:
Very sweet and affectionate with people
Daisy Duke is very social, and would do well in dog friendly settings
She is a bit shy at first, but once she gets comfortable, she soaks up the attention
Responds to correction
Treat motivated, making her easily trainable
The Challenges:
Doesn’t appear to have had much training, so she will need continued training on basic commands
Daisy Duke is not a puppy, but even at 4 years old, she will need daily exercise and stimulation to keep her active and happy
It is unknown if Daisy Duke is house trained - we presume she is not, so she will need to be house trained in a new environment so she can learn the routine
What our volunteers are saying about Daisy Duke:
Took Daisy Duke to the farmersmarket nights - good with people and a few of the other dogs
Daisy Duke loves attention. She is a true “velcro dog” and loves to be right by your side. She is a little bit shy, but warms up quickly. Doesn’t seem to know any basic commands quite yet, however she is very treat motivated which is very helpful with training. She is pretty good on the leash, pulls a little bit, but listens well. She seems to do well with other dogs, and was interested in the cat. Very sweet and friendly with people. Likes to chase the lizards and birds in the field
