Lainey
Lainey is a beautiful liver-and-white female German Shorthaired Pointer, about 4 years old. She recently came to California GSP Rescue from a crowded Southern California shelter. Everyone thought she would be adopted as soon as she became available. She wasn’t.
Since arriving at the rescue, Lainey has shown us what a wonderful companion she is. She has a gentle, friendly personality and enjoys being around people. She loves attention, accepts pets happily, and is treat-motivated, making her a joy to spend time with. She walks beautifully on a leash, rides quietly in the car, and gets along well with the dog she was kenneled with at the shelter and the dogs she has met since.
Lainey was still lactating when she entered the shelter, so she had puppies at some point. We don't know what her life was like before, but whatever she went through hasn't changed her sweet disposition or trusting nature.
If you're looking for a GSP that's past the puppy stage, but still has many wonderful years ahead, Lainey may be exactly the companion you've been waiting for.

The Challenges:
It is unknown whether Lainey is house trained. Like many rescue dogs, she may need time, patience, and consistency to learn the routine of her new home.
Lainey appears to have a quieter personality than many younger German Shorthaired Pointers, but she still needs daily exercise, mental stimulation, and companionship.
