Sophi
Meet Sophi — A Sweet Girl Ready to Blossom
Sophi | 2 years old | Female | Liver | German Shorthaired Pointer Mix
Meet Sophi, a beautiful liver-colored GSP mix with a sweet demeanor, a playful personality, and a heart that's just waiting to open up.
Sophi is a smart, fun-loving girl who enjoys people, playtime, and exploring the world around her.
Give her a little patience and some time to settle in, and you'll start to see her playful personality shine.
One of Sophi's favorite activities is fetch. She loves playing with toys and having fun and would happily spend time playing with her person before settling into the rest of her day.
She's also a great traveler and rides well in the car, making her a wonderful candidate for someone who wants to include their dog in their adventures.
A Lot of Potential
Sophi hasn't had a lot of formal training yet, but she's already learned “sit,” and she's a smart girl who should be a lot of fun to teach.
Her new family will need to continue her training using patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
Sophi also appears to do well with well-socialized, mild-mannered dogs.

Things Sophi's Forever Family Should Know
Sophi is a young, active girl, but being a GSP mix, she is not expected to require the same level of exercise as a two-year-old purebred GSP.
She'll still need daily exercise, mental stimulation, playtime, and training, but she should be a more manageable option for someone who loves the GSP personality without quite as much intensity.
Her house-training and crate-training status are currently unknown, so her adopter should be prepared to establish a routine and patiently help her learn the expectations of her new home.
Sophi's interactions with cats and children are also unknown.
When meeting other dogs, she should be introduced thoughtfully and given the opportunity to interact with well-socialized, mild-mannered dogs.
Why We Love Sophi
Sophi is the kind of dog who may not immediately rush up and demand to be the center of attention.
She may take a moment.
She may watch.
And then...
the playful Sophi starts to come out.
She loves fetch.
She loves to play with toys.
She's smart.
She's curious.
She enjoys car rides.
She can enjoy the company of the right dogs.
And she has so much potential waiting for someone willing to invest in her.
At two years old, Sophi is past the tiny-puppy stage, but she still has plenty of youthful energy and enthusiasm. She's at a wonderful age where her family can continue teaching her good habits while enjoying all the fun that comes with having a young dog.
She's active, but manageable.
She's sweet.
She's inexperienced, but smart.
And most importantly, she's ready to learn.
Sophi doesn't need someone to expect perfection from her.
She needs someone who will give her structure, exercise, enrichment, training, and the patience to let her confidence grow.
Imagine taking her on a walk and watching her blossom each time.
Teaching her a new command and seeing her figure it out.
Playing fetch in the yard.
Taking her along for a car ride.
And eventually watching Sophi become the dog who confidently comes looking for you because she knows you're her person.
That's the kind of journey that makes rescue so special.
If you're looking for a sweet, smart, playful young GSP mix and you're ready to provide the exercise, training, stimulation, patience, and love Sophi needs, she may be the special girl you've been waiting for.
Sophi is ready for her next chapter. All she needs is someone willing to help her write it.
