William is an incredible 10 year old German Shorthaired Pointer Hound Mix. William was found as a stray, and taken to a shelter, where he waited for his family to claim him, but no one came. We rescued William just after Christmas.

This senior boy arrived calm, gentle, and grateful—despite clear signs that he hadn’t been well cared for. From walking easily on a leash to curling up contentedly after a warm bath, William showed everyone exactly who he is: a truly good dog who never should have been overlooked. After a veterinary visit confirmed he’s otherwise healthy, William recently had a growth removed and is now ready for adoption.

It is difficult for us to imagine someone losing a dog like William. He is such an incredibly easy dog. Loves everyone, people and dogs alike. William is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart.
