In Loving Memory Of Lady
Lady was surrendered to us by a gentleman who found her on the streets of Mexico at approximately 7-8 years old. He tried finding the owners for 2 months with no success, so he reached out to CA GSP Rescue to help.
We happily took Lady into our care, and found her to be an amazing and sweet girl, and we wanted to find her an equally amazing forever home.
Daniela and her family applied to adopt a senior after losing their beloved dog, Meda who they had adopted from us at the age of 11. Knowing the love they bestowed upon Meda, and their love for senior dogs, we knew Lady would be perfect for their family, and invited them out to meet her. They fell in love, and on August 4, 2021, Lady was adopted.
We were saddened to hear of the recent news that Lady passed away. We are so grateful to Daniela and her family for opening up their hearts and home to another senior dog. Their time was far too short, but Lady was given the chance to be loved and cherished for the rest of her life.
“Through the kindness and dedication of Southern California GSP Rescue, Lady came into our lives as a senior girl, and from the moment we saw her, we were amazed. She was gentle, wise, affectionate, and so incredibly smart. She changed our lives forever, in so many ways.
We cherished every moment, and we will hold close the many memories we shared with her over the four and a half years we were blessed to have her. Saying goodbye was incredibly hard, but even through the grief, we remain deeply grateful for her love, her trust, and the privilege of being her family in her last years.
Lady showed us how special senior GSP’s truly are, and I hope others will open their hearts to adopting them. The love they give back is deeper than words.
Rest peacefully, my sweet Lady. We will miss you always.
And thank you to Southern California GSP Rescue for everything you do for these wonderful dogs”.
