Juno
Juno is a 2 year old beautiful white and liver female German Shorthaired Pointer. When California GSP Rescue received the call, we knew we had to help quickly. Juno was pregnant. No dog should have to deliver puppies inside a shelter kennel. What followed was an incredible transformation as Juno slowly learned to trust, relax, and experience life inside a home. At first, she was unsure about everything—even walking through a doorway. But with patience, gentle guidance, and the help of the other rescue dogs, Juno’s true personality began shining through. She’s affectionate, playful, smart, goofy, and happiest simply being close to her people. She truly is a gem.

What our volunteers are saying about Juno:
So excited to be in the field with other dogs. Ran around and greeted every dog. Got excited when she saw a dog coming/going back and started running around to different parts of fence yipping, so cute, so excited!!
Very playful. Loves all the dogs she has met.
Juno has made SO much progress! The first time I met her, she wouldn't come up to me even after sitting down with her for over thirty minutes. I was tossing treats onto the ground for her and even then, she wouldn't always trust them. Since having her babies, she has blossomed into this friendly girl! She loves treats and snacks and has no problem taking them straight from your hand. She walks very nicely on leash and has great manners. She's still slightly cautious but warms up so quickly. She's a great mama and likes going out to play. She was interested in the squeaky toys, but didn't fully play with them. She would come up and sniff them, but didn't take them when offered. She's so food motivated and is an easy girl.
Loves to watch lizards
Juno is more confident around people and not as shy as before. She enjoys interacting and will happily take treats from you. She loves going on her daily walks and looks forward to them.
Does extremely well on leash and on her walks. A little shy at first, but gentle, loving, and has a sweet calm nature. She especially enjoys getting treats and loves when someone is spending time with her.
