Suki is a 19 month old beautiful white and liver adorable female German Shorthaired Pointer. Suki is a young spirit, on the smaller side, and cute as a button. Suki loves getting attention and affection from people. Suki is great with other dogs, and loves to play with them.

Suki hasn’t had much training, but does know sit, and is treat motivated, making training easy. She will need someone dedicated to enhancing her training to learn new commands with patience and consistency. Along with the training, she will need plenty of daily exercise and stimulation. She will also benefit from leash training, as she does like to pull because she is so excited to go for a walk or run. Taking her for walks on a long lead will allow her to explore her surroundings safely, and also tire her out.

Suki is very social with people and other dogs making her a great companion to accompany you to dog friendly establishments.

We would love to see Suki go to a home with an active family or person who will take her on adventures of long walks, a run, hikes, and even spend some time at the beach! At the end of the day when she is all tuckered out, she will just be happy to sit on the couch with you and cuddle. A tired GSP is a happy GSP!

What our volunteers are saying about Suki:

Suki is a compact little GSP, but has an insane amount of energy. Did great being a running buddy! She would be amazing with someone looking for a dog to run with. She does pull at first, but eventually was running right next to the volunteer. She ran almost two miles, and did very well staying focused on running, and she wasn't stopping to smell or getting distracted. After her run, she was ready for treats and pets. She did sit for a treat when asked, but it wasn't a consistent sit every time. She's very smart and picked up on what he wanted from her quickly. She seems like she will be easier to train with how smart she is.

Lots of energy, and can be vocal in the field when she wants someone to play with her.

Needs leash work.

Very friendly with people and other dogs.

Big puller, needs training on the leash.

Sweet little girl.
